Virtual Seminar: Documenting Oral History

In the presence of HRH Princess Adelah bint Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Biography Documentation Center, the center held a virtual meeting on Wednesday 14 Dec 2022, titled "Documenting Oral History" with the participation of Prof. Muhammad bin Abdul Razzaq Al-Qashami (Saudi writer and historian), and Prof. Dr. Abdullatif bin Muhammad Al-Hamid (Professor of the History of the Kingdom and the Arabian Peninsula), and the meeting was moderated by Prof. Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Mubarraz, and the meeting topics, are: The concepts of oral history, the importance of documenting it, historians' methods in recording oral history, oral documentation experiences, and the meeting was attended by a group of interested individuals and researchers.

 

HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal's Visit to the Center's Pavilion

HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, visited the pavilion of the center at the Jeddah Book Fair, on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, and was briefed on the center's work and products.

HRH Prince Khalid bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, member of the Board of Trustees of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Foundation for Humanitarian Works, visited the pavilion of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Biography Documentation Center at the Jeddah Book Fair, on Saturday, December 17, 2022, and toured the pavilion and reviewed the center's exhibits.

In order to achieve the objectives of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Biography Documentation Center in contributing and participating in national events related to the Center's activity and informing the public about the products and services provided by the Center. The center participated in the Jeddah International Book Fair from 8-17 December 2022, and the pavilion has witnessed a great turnout and interaction with the products representing King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Biography.

King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Biography Documentation Center participated in the Riyadh International Book Fair from 29 Sep to 8 Oct 2022, and this participation achieves the goal of spreading King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz biography - may Allah rest his soul - and his interests, works and achievements through the books published by the center in addition to the presentation of other products, and the pavilion has witnessed a great turnout, and received a lot of praise from visitors.
